Araby Cove is a small community of homes tucked into the foot hills overlooking the southern part of Palm Springs. In addition to the view of Palm Springs, there are beautiful views of Mount San Jacinto and the surrounding foothills provide a natural looking backdrop. Araby Cove offers easy access to the Palm Springs area but allows one to enjoy the peacefulness of the natural desert environment. Most homes were custom built and each one features its own unique combination of architectural styles and beautiful landscaping.
Homes range from tiny 1-bedroom 1,000 sq. ft. houses perfect for singles or retirees who don’t want a lot of square feet to clean, to larger estates with four or more bedrooms and 5,000 square feet of living area. Some properties are newer construction with modern features and style, and many homes have been remodeled, adding fantastic luxury features such as a pool, Jacuzzi, gas barbecue grills, tiled out-door entertainment areas, and rock gardens. Architectural styles range from one-story ranch, 2-story Mediterranean, Spanish, Art Deco, and bungalow.
Araby Cove is situated on the south side of Palm Springs near Cathedral City, Rancho Mirage, and Palm Desert, in Riverside County California. There is easy nearby access to the 111, which will take you to Palm Springs International Airport, or the I-10 which heads south-east to Indio or north-west to Banning and Beaumont.
For those who like to have outdoor fun, especially if you have kids, Wet ‘n’ Wild Palm Springs is about 2 miles away. There is a fantastic hiking trail in nearby Indian Canyons, or if you hike up Southridge Drive you can access the Araby Trail which connects to several other trails. For those who love golf, Palm Springs is a mecca with several dozen to choose from. Tennis is very popular in the area, and you can also find baseball, soccer, and football. Palm Springs has 9 city parks and a skate park. There are 7 public and private schools offering K-12 classes. Palm Springs was home to the late Bob Hope (his estate is right above Araby Cove) and to so many other movie and music celebrities they are too numerous to list! Because it is about a 1 hour drive to Hollywood, many famous movie stars had homes here to give them a nearby get-away from the stress and pressures of Los Angeles and the movie industry.
