Brentwood is an affluent neighborhood on the western edge of Los Angeles. It is roughly bordered on the north by Topanga State Park, with Pacific Palisades to the west, Midcity and Sawtelle to the south, and Westwood to the east. Brentwood has a temperate climate with breezes from the Pacific Ocean often bringing in a light fog early morning which burns off before noon. Some streets have scenic views of Los Angeles or the ridges and canyons of the Santa Monica Mountains. Houses include historic, mid-century, and modern styles of architecture, with many being categorized as mansions or estates due to their large size.
