Beverlywood is a neighborhood on the west side of the City of Los Angeles, south of Century City and Pico-Robertson and adjacent to Cheviot Hills which is to the west; the north-west of Beverlywood is bordered by the Hillcrest Country Club. The area is served by the 90034 and 90035 zip codes. There are several small private parks maintained by the home owners association open only to Beverlywood residents. Built in the 1940’s by the real estate developer Walter H. Leimert, Beverlywood is made up of mostly single-family residences which must adhere to codes for size, style, and color along with additional restrictions on landscaping. These guidelines have made the original homes in this prime neighborhood highly sought-after, as well as the larger homes and mansions which have been built more recently. There are three public elementary schools, a middle school, and Hamilton High School near the south east corner of Beverlywood. The I-10, I-405, and Pico Blvd. are easily accessible offering many routes to the rest of the Los Angeles area.
